This exquisite design is inspired by a kimono from the Edo era worn in the Japanese theater Noh. it's dyeing silk, golden decorative ornaments and embroidered flower grasses create a visual composition in which every detail thread tells a story.
The design Kara-ori Pink is part of the Japanese Kimono collection and honors the theatrical tradition in which the costume is an expression of character and culture. The original is stored in the Art Institute of Chicago and is a vivid example of a combination of textile art and stage story.
